Voting Days August 16, 21 and 26 (Postponed)
SWOA encourages all eligible property owners to vote in this referendum that will decide if the Regional District should continue to collect tax dollars to support the Shuswap Watershed Council.
The question will be:
Are you in favour of the Columbia Shuswap Regional District adopting the Shuswap Watershed Council Service Establishment Bylaw No. 5864, 2023 to establish with Electoral C, D, E, F, G and the District of Sicamous, a service for the purpose of obtaining, coordinating and analyzing water quality monitoring data; protecting and improving water quality; and, promoting recreational water safety within the area and to authorize a maximum annual taxation of $180,000 or $0.0167/$1,000 of net taxable value of land and improvements, whichever is greater?

Voting Day is Saturday August 26, 2023 but advance polls are on Wednesday August 16 and Monday August 21. Voting will occur in your local area but each date is in a different location. For example in North Shuswap on August 16 voting is at the Community Hall in Celista , on August 21 voting is at Lakeview Centre in Anglemont and on August 26 voting is at the Firehall in Scotch Creek.
